Why does a new or previously saved instance of X-Verb not load in Protools 12.2.0?
We are aware of an issue between Protools 12.2.0 on OSX and X-Verb v5.1.1 AAX.
- When attempting to load a new instance of X-Verb this message appears and the plug-in is made inactive:
The plug-in could not be made active because a AAE error was encountered. AAE’s memory is running low. Please try to increase AAE’s Preferred Size. (AAE -9013)
Note that there is no way to adjust AAE's preferred size. Please disregard that instruction.
- When a previously saved project is loaded that contains X-Verb one of the following occurs:
- The instances are made inactive and upon trying to activate the plug-ins the above 9013 error is shown
- Protools states that the plug-in is not available and it is not shown under the 'Reverb' section of the plug-in list.
We are currently investigating this issue and will update this FAQ once more information is available.
In the meantime we recommend not upgrading to Protools 12.2.0 as this issue does not occur with earlier versions.
No other Duende plug-ins are affected by this issue.
